Cemetery--- The plot is Lot 207 Sec. C . How to find it --- when
you are driving along the highway (main street Elgin Ont. ) you will see
an old vault. to the right of it is a road. follow this road, it is on
the left side about 200 feet from the entrance in the second row. It is
broken in three pieces and laying on the ground. Right beside them is a
very large stone for Franklin's brother Riley and his wife Hannah Etta
Brown. Because Sarah's given name was Petunia she was called
"Tuney" which she wrote on her wedding certificate . It reads
that Francis Davison of the Township of Bastard County of Leeds, Canada
West, and Tuney Houghton of the Township of North Crosby County aforsaid
were joined together in Holy Matrimony this thirteenth day of April in
the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventy four, by me,
Rev. Joseph Follick, Minister of the Canadian Wesleyan Methodist New
Connexion. Witness were , N.H. Fitzgerald and Miss Nellie
Houghton
*Sarah & Frank (Lorenzo's Parents) died when he was a baby. He was
raised by his grandparents Martin and Elizabeth, and was like a brother
to Daniel. |
