Roy Dale Houghton (Son of Eugene & Ollie)

Roy started smoking at the age of 11 years old.  He was diagnosed with Lung Cancer in August of 1993.  He had chemotherapy and radiation treatments to his lung and to the brain.  He had not stopped smoking. In April of 1997 Roy had a "Mini Stroke" on the left side of his brain.  The immediate effects lasted about an hour.  The Long-term effects had been minor but he had changed slightly.  Only his close family noticed this change. Roy continued to fight until 4 May 04 when he succumbed to his illness.  He loved his family and loved his recreation.
