G. A. Houghton Passed away on Sunday Morning.  George A Houghton, age 72 passed away early yesterday morning at the family residence on East Lincoln Highway. Been a resident of this city his entire life with the exception of a brief period when he was in charge of the Chicago & Northwestern round house at Belvedere. Mr. Houghton was born in Dekalb April 19, 1863. Mourn his death, his wife, two daughters, Miss Myrael Houghton of this city and Mrs. Fred Shattuck of Genoa and one son by a previous marriage, Archie Houghton of this city. One niece , Mrs. Jack Killian, of this city. Burial at Oakwood Cemetery, Dekalb.

Mrs. Frances E. Houghton, 93, Dekalb county Nursing Home, died at the home Sunday, April 11, 1965  She was born Apr 24 , 1871 in Malta, the Daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Thomas Kempson. On Aug. 7 1895, she was married in Chicago to Al Houghton.  Survivors include two dau. Mrs. Henry (Myrael) Smith of Dekalb and Mrs. Fred (Leona) Shattuck, Genoa, a brother Albert Kempson, Dekalb, several nieces and nephews. Preceded by her parents, her Husband, 11 brothers and sisters. Member of the Advent Christian Church. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
