This site is for the use of anyone interested in or having responsibilities for facets of accident prevention. It is dedicated to those who have pioneered safety programs and reduced pain and suffering related to workplace injuries and illnesses. My intent is to make this site one of the best. There are several sites on the web, some are pretty good, but most seem to serve one specialty or another. Most do not focus on the big picture associated with overall accident prevention efforts.
I hope to be able to present an image of the big picture. I have 30 plus years, as a safety professional, with experience in all phases of safety and health, fire service (prevention / protection), and environmental. I worked in management most of the time and interfaced with corporate management on a daily basis. I also served as an OSHA Compliance Officer, Safety Manager and Fire Marshal for various positions within The Air Force Contract Management Division and Defense Logistics Agency with cognizance and oversight over major defense contractor's overall safety and health programs. I have provided personal consulting and advise to the worker compensation insurance industry as well as private industry. I also serve as a consultant and expert witness in the litigation process associated with lawsuits arising from accidents in the workplace.
